Villa San Giacomo dates back to 1741, when wealthy merchants constructed their luxory residence on the hill overlooking the harbor of Positano, from where they would be able to see their ships sailing in from sea.
They enlisted the services of the most famous artists of the time to fresco the ceilings and fill each room with precious furniture and artworks.
Like the villa's first owners, today's guests sleep in sumptuous suites decorated with exquisite antiques and period paintings; the only difference between then and now being the addition of the latest in contemporary technology and comfort. The villa was completely restored in 2013.
In high season, Villa San Giacomo can be booked on a weekly basis and in low season for shorter stay.
In the attic of Villa San Giacomo there are two brand new suites, furnished in a modern style, each with guest capacity of 4 people. These suites can be booked on request and have an additional cost.
